it has been such an awesome experience to be able to lead a group of 14 Greek tourists to a few places of interest in Singapore. it is really very different to look at Singapore when ure seated in a bus full of tourists, explaining to them brief history of Singapore and pointing out all the different sights around.
cheesy as dis may sound, but suddenly it made me so proud to be a Singaporean. esp yesterday.
altho there were many hiccups on friday when they 1st arrived in Spore. but i believe there were certain other spirit-lifting experiences that helped made things better.
thankfully we have some nice Singaporeans to make their visit more pleasant.
the grp consisted of both young and old, ranging from honey-mooners to elderly couples ard 40's to 50's age range... it's so heartwarming to see their enthusiasm as well as their interest. they asked many questions which werent difficult to answer, thankfully! haa.
one of the places we visited was the Singapore Botanic Gardens & National Orchid Garden. flowers are known to cheer people up. esp us girls. =P
it somehow helped mend some of my emotional damage.
then again, the half day spent with dem did help take my mind of things.
i'll upload some pix i took along the walk to the National Orchid Garden...
moments i captured that made me smile a little smile to myself - the beauty of the earth; soothes the soul =)
thanks uncle chan for this wonderful experience! :)
i'm so glad i did this.
hopefully there will be more to come. the experience is smthg money cant buy.
esp seeing the happy faces of tourists. this is fulfilling.
i am so glad to be of service to them. now i am renewed in my faith and endeavour for the tourism industry! yesss!
